Adding HIFU treatment on your services is needed for a successful aesthetic practice as the popularity of these procedures has skyrocketed. Reimbursement for aesthetic applications average $500 per treatment and can easily be incorporated with your other aesthetic offerings. Throughout the course you will look at the theory about HIFU and will be given the opportunity to develop your practical skills using the most up to date techniques and equipment. You will receive the Certificate of Completion.
HIFU stands for high intensity focused ultrasound and is used as a one off (well every 1-2 years) treatment to firm and lift face and neck skin. HIFU treatments stimulate natural collagen production and will provide noticeable effects through an ‘ultrasonic facelift’, without making any cuts to the skin.

How Does Doublo HIFU Work?
Precise HIFU energy is used to heat the skin from within, creating microinjuries which trigger natural healing responses.
Unlike other treatments, the Doublo can be used to work at every layer of the skin according to the individual treatment – from the outer epidermis to the deep dermis and even down to the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) which is described as the skin’s ‘scaffolding’ – including muscles and fibromuscular layers.

Post Treatment Care
Immediately after the treatment the skin may feel warm and tender to touch. Slight redness can last 1-2 days. You may experience some mild oedema (fluid like swelling) which is noticeable to yourself and your practitioner but not normally noticeable to others. This usually disappears after one week. Following treatment, you should avoid sunbathing or intense heat for 2 weeks. Makeup can be applied after 24 hours. We recommend that you drink 1-2 litres of water per day as staying hydrated can contribute to better results. Use gentle skincare products one week before and after treatment (avoid acids, hydroquinone, retinoic acid). You must avoid Botox injections for 2 weeks following treatment and dermal fillers for 2-3 months. You must avoid other skin tightening treatments such as laser/ultrasound/radiofrequency for 3-6 months.
